FAQ

What do I need to play?

An email address, a wallet, or a Twitter account to sign in through Privy, and USDC on Base to pay an entry fee. On the web, League.fun creates an embedded wallet for you and pays your gas fees, so you don't need crypto experience to get started.

In the Farcaster mini app it works differently: your Farcaster client's own wallet signs, and gas is not sponsored — you need a little ETH on Base as well as USDC. See On-chain for why the two differ.

How much can I lose?

At most, your entry fee. League.fun has no leverage and no liquidation — you set your risk when you pay to join a league, and that's the most you can ever lose.

What's the difference between a public and a private league?

League.fun opens public leagues on a recurring schedule, at several entry-fee tiers. You create a private league yourself: set your own duration, entry fee, and team rules, then invite friends with a code. Private leagues don't earn XP or count toward your streak.

Can I change my team after I join?

Only through substitutes, where they're available (see Drafting your team). You can swap a substitute in at any time before the league ends, but you can't add a coin you didn't select when you joined.

Is League.fun audited?

League.fun's smart contracts hold every prize pool on Base. The backend holds no treasury key, so it can never move your funds — it only signs permission for you to join a league or claim a prize.

That is the claim worth relying on. "Audited" is not a safety guarantee and League.fun does not lead with it.

What happens if my streak breaks?

You lose any badge tied to that streak, including PRO, whether you earned PRO by streak or bought it directly. League.fun re-checks every badge each time a wave closes.

Does League.fun run inside Farcaster?

Yes, as a mini app. It's fully built but not yet launched everywhere, and claiming a prize from inside the mini app isn't available yet — claim from the web app instead.

Are free or sponsored leagues available?

They're built and planned, but not live yet. Check the app for what's currently open.
